FARM FAQs

HIPCAMP

WHERE CAN I PITCH MY TENT?

All sites are first come, first serve. Site selection rules include:

  • must be off gravel pathways (and on grassy area).

  • do not go into active cattle pastures (ie, if cows are present in pasture, do not camp; if there are no cows present, you may camp in that pasture section).

  • if you have 4-wheel drive, you may drive your vehicle to your selected site (otherwise park in gravel lot by barn).

    • For instance, Chimney Field (see map) has an excellent view of Lookout Mountain but has a long approach (and is helpful to drive to).

  • may not camp within sight of the Riley residence.

FIRE?

You are welcome to have campfires! YOU MUST use a fire ring (stored behind the outdoor shower), and please return once you have finished using it. Firewood is also available by the wood shed. You are responsible for following all fire safety practices.

BATHROOMS?

When camping, you may use the camper toilet (wooden structure next to outdoor shower). Otherwise, you may use the woods in accordance with LNT (Leave No Trace) principles.

WATER?

Use the spicket in front of the farmer's trailer (located across the gravel lot from Tiny Homes, inside fenced yard).

FARM RULES

CAN WE VISIT THE ANIMALS?

Please do not enter any animal enclosures. Also, beware of electric fencing (which is marked in many places around the farm). You may also pet animals (at your own risk).

LEAVE GATES AS YOU
FOUND THEM

One of the #1 rules on any farm is to leave a gate the way you found it. If you enter a closed gate, you MUST close it behind you. If you see a gate that is open, please leave it as you found it.

CAN WE EXPLORE THE FARM?

You are welcome to walk our farm trails, look at the animals, and enjoy the many wonderful views of Quail Run Farm. Check out the farm trail sign for more information, or ask any of our farmhands if you have questions.
